As a doula, I want you to feel that you, the mother, are in control of the care you receive. I want you to be confident in the providers you choose, in the people you choose to attend your birth, and in your ability to birth your baby.

Your body was made to do this, and your intuition as a mother is invaluable. I am not there to be your voice but to help you find yours. You can, will, and are doing amazing things. My goal is to support you in your decisions and ensure that you feel seen and heard.

With these words, so many years ago, a mother thanked and blessed the lord for the little life in her womb. Pregnancy can be difficult and daunting, but my hope is to do everything I can to help you feel the joy and excitement that should surround your pregnancy.

Finding the right fit between you and your doula is so important to enhancing your birth experience. I want you to feel you are receiving the best support and care you can be; my mission is to support you however you need. Whether that’s sending a text to have me google a weird symptom so that you don’t get sucked into an anxiety spiral on google, hanging fairy lights in your birth room to create the right birth ambiance, BRUSHING YOUR HAIR OR RUBBING YOUR HEAD DURING LABOR. DURING YOUR PREGNANCY, I WILL WORK TO GET TO KNOW YOU AND YOUR PREFERENCES, SO THAT WHEN YOUR BABY IS READY TO BE BORN, YOU FEEL YOU HAVE ONE MORE PERSON YOU CAN RELY ON IN YOUR CORNER. ONE MORE PERSON WHO’S PRIMARY GOAL IS TO BE THERE TO SUPPORT YOU.
