at Magnificat Doula Care, I offer a comprehensive birth package, which is designed to support your whole family as you bring a new life into the world. While a healthy baby is everyone’s first priority, I want to be there to help remind you that the experience you have during birth, the memories you will have from it, also matter. As your doula, i want to help your whole family be as actively involved in welcoming your baby to the world as possible.
Consultation
Finding the right fit when searching for your doula is so important. This one-hour consultation is oriented towards you; it’s your time to ask me any questions you or your partner may have for me. I’d also love to ask you some questions to get to know you. My goal is to cultivate a very real relationship with each client. I want you to feel that your doula is someone you can trust and rely on during your labor and birth. This is a free consultation, and hopefully, it feels more like getting coffee with a friend. Fathers are also encouraged to come to these consults, as supporting your family is another important facet of finding the right doula for you. I look forward to meeting you!
“Born to Birth”
Classic Package
This package includes:
* two prenatal meetings tailored specifically to fit you. Both prenatal meetings can be scheduled as home visits, virtual, or coffee shop meetups, depending on your preference. Our first meeting will focus on discussing your desires and expectations for this birth, talking through past experiences, and working together to form a birth plan. Discussing goals for this pregnancy and birth early on can help tailor your birth preparations to support those goals. During our second meeting, we will discuss comfort measures, labor plans, and your birth team’s roles as your baby’s birth approaches.
*Availability to call or message me for questions or support during your pregnancy
*I will be on call for birth 24/7 from 36 weeks and on
*Constant, compassionate, competent labor and birth support. Mama, I am there to help you feel empowered in your birth. Part of my birth phylospy is also to help fathers learn to play an active role in their baby’s birth and in your labor. Many fathers struggle seeing the love of their life go through labor, and though they want to help, they aren’t sure how. Helping bridge this gap is so important to me, as birth is such an intimate and bonding time for your family.
*Following your birth, I will stay for 1- 2 hours to assist in your immediate postpartum needs and make sure you and your family feel confident to handle the first few days of adjusting to life with a new baby.
*One postpartum home visit scheduled at your convenience to talk about your birth experience and emotions following birth, help with lactation questions, and answer baby care questions
